Kucinich Applauds ISG’s Decision To Open West Side Plant

Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) issued the following statement on International Steel Group’s (ISG) decision to reopen its West Side plant:
“Today is a good day for the City of Cleveland, the state of Ohio and for our community. ISG’s decision to reopen the plant and hire 140 workers is a victory for our community.
“For years Cleveland’s manufacturing base, and steel in particular, has been decimated by unfair trade practices, the illegal dumping of goods, the outsourcing of jobs, and failed national economic policies. Today’s decision by ISG is a great step forward. I am hopeful that today’s actions by ISG will start a return of a strong and vibrant manufacturing base to the Cleveland area.
“I applaud ISG’s decision and welcome the restart of its West Side Plant.”
