Melancon, Landrieu, Mills to Visit Coastal Louisiana PDF Print
Group will discuss efforts to help small businesses along the Gulf Coast that have been impacted by the oil disaster

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Charlie Melancon (LA-03) will join U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., Chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Karen Mills in Hopedale, Louisiana on Monday, May 10, 2010, to meet with small business owners being impacted by the oil spill in the Gulf Coast.

Following a briefing with local officials, which will asses SBA operations on the ground, there will be a tour of the SBA’s Disaster Loan Outreach Centers and meetings with small business owners. Sen. Landrieu, Administrator Mills, and Congressman Melancon will also hold a press conference where they are expected to announce programs under way for businesses affected along the Gulf Coast.
