Chairman Barbara Boxer will convene the Full Committee to examine opportunities to reduce injuries and fatalities associated with our nation’s highways by addressing a number of transportation safety issues, including distracted driving and texting, drunk driving, safety concerns impacting children and the elderly, and various infrastructure improvements, such as signage. Wednesday’s hearing is one in a series as the committee develops the next surface transportation authorization bill. |
