The Making Home Affordable Program is part of the
President's broad, comprehensive strategy to get the economy back on track. The plan will help up to 7 to 9 million families restructure or refinance their mortgages to avoid foreclosure. The plan can help responsible homeowners who are at risk of default or are facing foreclosure.
You may be asked to provide details of your personal financial situation when you speak to your mortgage company, so have your mortgage loan number ready. Also, your mortgage company may require other documentation about your finances when you speak with them. The information you provide will help your mortgage company determine what payment alternatives may be available to you.
