Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly was notified that FEMA will grant Public Assistance to 13 northern Indiana counties hit hard by severe flooding that began January 7th of this year. Public Assistance provides funding to local governments for infrastructure repair costs and debris removal.
“I am very pleased to hear that FEMA has granted Public Assistance to the northern Indiana counties that are recovering from January’s flood,” said Donnelly. “These counties deserve the financial assistance they will receive from FEMA to help offset the costs of the flood damage.”
Donnelly authored a letter to FEMA that was signed by every member of the Indiana Congressional delegation supporting the State of Indiana’s request for Public Assistance.
