As a Member of Congress, one of Mike’s most important duties is assisting Mainers when they are dealing with a federal agency – this assistance is referred to as casework.  Caseworkers in each of Mike’s four district offices are available to provide you with direct assistance in dealing with a number federal agencies and departments, including the Social Security Administration, the IRS, the Veterans' Administration, Medicare, the military, visa and passport offices, immigration, disability and federal employment offices.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the appropriate office below for help.

How to Open a Case

  1. Determine that your question or problem is something Mike's office can assist you with.
  2. Check this quick list of frequently asked questions to determine if an answer to your question is there.
  3. Prepare to open a case with Mike's office.
  4. Print and sign the privacy release form.  Some agencies require you to submit additional information.  Please send the signed release form, description of your problem and any relevant documents to the appropriate office below.  As always, please call if you have any questions.
