Congresswoman Sanchez is committed to working with local communities, police officers, and the entire law enforcement community to advance programs dedicated to reducing crime and violence in our neighborhoods.

Reducing Drug Abuse

The Congresswoman is a member of the Methamphetamine Caucus, a coalition dedicated to stopping the production and abuse of methamphetamine. She is a strong supporter of the Orange County Drug Court, which helps minor drug offenders turn their lives around and become productive members of society.

Addressing the Needs of Local Law Enforcement and Orange County Communities

Congresswoman Sanchez works closely with local law enforcement agencies and the federal Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) to help reduce violence and crime in Orange County communities.  She is a strong supporter of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, which provides funding for states and local governments to combat crime, improve the criminal justice system, and create programs that enhance community safety.
