District Information

I am proud to represent Maryland’s 8th Congressional District, home to over 600,000 Marylanders with a wide range of wonderful opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors.  Comprised of portions of Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, the 8th District is a vibrant community with a rich history that truly offers something for everyone.

Montgomery County, named after General Richard Montgomery, was established by the State Convention in 1776 and is Maryland’s most populous jurisdiction.  Prince George’s County was established in 1696 and was named for Prince George of Denmark.  Both counties are located directly adjacent to Washington, D.C.
