The Congressional Arts Competition was launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982 to recognize the creative talents of young Americans. Each year, the competition dates are announced in January. Stay tuned!
The contest is open to all high school students throughout Southeastern Arizona’s 8th Congressional District.
The winning piece from each district will hang for one year on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The exhibition, entitled “An Artistic Discovery,” features exceptional artwork from congressional districts across the nation. Monetary prizes will be given in all categories.
