Rockville, M.D.,
Apr 8, 2010 -
Today Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) released the following statement congratulating Maryland Delegate Bill Bronrott on being appointed by President Obama to serve as Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration:
“I applaud President Obama’s selection of Bill Bronrott to serve our nation as Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. For 30 years, Bill has been a leader on highway safety issues, helping to launch Mothers Against Drunk Driving and establish the National Uniform 21 Minimum Drinking Age Act. In the Maryland legislature, he has been a tireless advocate for strengthening the State’s teen driving and child passenger safety laws. I am honored to represent Bill in the United States Congress, proud to have recommended him for this important transportation post, and pleased to call him my friend.”
