Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today welcomed the announcement made by Ford Motor Company that Ford will invest $155 million and create 60 new jobs at their engine plant in Brook Park to build a fuel-efficient v-6 engine for the 2011 Ford Mustang.
“We appreciate Ford’s confidence in Cleveland. We hope this sends a signal to other businesses that Cleveland has a trained workforce, an excellent union -- UAW Local 1250 -- and is a good place to do business,” said Kucinich.
“Cleveland is a world center for automotive advanced technology and for the jobs of tomorrow. The announcement is good news for Ohio and for the green economy. Cleveland has always been poised to play a pivotal role in the development of green technologies, and I am pleased that the Ford Motor Company has seen fit to build their engines here,” added Kucinich.
