Medicare beneficiaries who want to discuss their options during Medicare’s Open Enrollment period will have a chance to meet in-person with experts. Congressman Adam Putnam today announced three Medicare seminars for Osceola, Polk and Hillsborough counties in December.
“From November 15 to December 31 is Medicare’s Open Enrollment period,” said Putnam. “This is the time during which beneficiaries can make changes to their plans. It’s a good opportunity to review the coverage you have and what’s available. Plans often change from year to year; so even if you are satisfied with your current coverage, it’s a good idea to make sure it will still meet your needs in 2010.”
During these seminars representatives from the Social Security Administration, Medicare and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE program will be on hand to help Floridians with information about Medicare benefit options, cost information and other resources that may be helpful.
The seminars will be at the following locations and times:
Sun City Center Community Association Building - Florida Room 1009 N Pebble Beach Blvd Monday, December 7, 2009 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Solivita Solivita - The Palms 1055 San Clemente Way Wednesday, December 9, 2009 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Lakeland Lakeland Public Library - Community Room 100 Lake Morton Drive Friday, December 11, 2009 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Since 2001, Putnam has represented Florida’s 12th Congressional District, which includes most of Polk County and portions of Hillsborough and Osceola counties.
