Free Stuff for Schools and Communities

Want to access educational resources for your school or community? There’s nothing better than free educational resources!

Start with a visit to NASA’s Digital Learning Network to connect directly and interact with NASA experts from the comfort of the classroom.

Teachers, check out NASA’s Personal Property surplus or available lab equipment from the Department of EnergyFree Computers may also be available to schools and non-profit groups through Computers for Learning.

What better way to learn first-hand about NASA’s space missions or research underway in your area than hearing it straight from the experts!  Often, agencies and professional organizations make resources available upon request.  Interested?

Check out the NASA Research Center in your area or NASA’s Regional Education experts.  Arrange for your class to explore our nation’s energy research labs to get the latest on high tech energy research from DOE.

Professional organizations like the American Astronomical Society (AAS) or the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) also make experts available to schools and communities.  Contact the AAS at deustua@aas.org or NCAR at cschmidt@ucar.edu for more information.

The Food and Drug Administration team up with the National Science Teachers Association to bring you professional development opportunities and free curriculum kits on science & food safety. Check out Science & Our Food Supply.

We will continue to add to this list, so check back here often!
