(Washington D.C.)- On Monday, July 26 Cal Poly Pomona received a $42 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the largest cash gift in the history of the California State University system. Today, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano, whose district includes Cal Poly Pomona, congratulated President Dr. Michael Ortiz on the unprecedented new funding:
“This donation will benefit our young people and our communities for years to come. Many Cal Poly Pomona students are the first in their family to attend college, and their success will bring new growth and prosperity to our local economy. This new funding will allow continued education students even during these difficult economic times. Cal Poly Pomona and the W.K. Kellogg foundation should be proud of their long partnership and constant support for all our sons and daughters. The youngsters they educate will go on to become the top leaders, scholars and engineers of the next generation.”
