Blumenauer Attends Gresham Armory Rededication PDF Print E-mail

Congressman Blumenauer attended the Rededication ceremony of the former Gresham Armory, now officially the Clifford G. Schneider Readiness Center. The Center represents the successful partnership of the City of Gresham, the State of Oregon, and the federal government in giving older armories new life, extending their use another 25 years while at the same saving money and protecting the environment. In addition to being a readiness center for the Oregon National Guard, the faciltiy is available for community events and functions.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony included LTC Robert Schneider (ret.), son of Clifford G. Schneider, and his wife Claire, MG Raymond F. Rees, Congressman Blumenauer, State Senator Laurie Monnes Anderson, State Representative Greg Matthews, Gresham City Council Member David Widmark, and the family of the late National Guard Member, SSG Nathaniel B. Lindsay.
