Congressman Blumenauer visited the Springdale Jobs Corps campus in Troutdale to meet with program attendees and view some of the "green" training programs. Funds awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 have been used for construction, rehabilitation and acquisition, as well as operations needs. Since the act was signed into law, Job Corps has implemented “green” student training programs and commenced construction projects on more than 65 centers, helping create and retain jobs.
