Congressman Blumenauer toured the NatureBake facility, a family owned business founded in 1955 by James Dahl, a former US Navy Baker. Dahl began baking breads using whole grains and no animal fats which made his products very popular with local health food stores. NatureBake has developed into a very successful small business with products are now available in five states. The company is also home to the popular “Dave’s Killer Bread,” a brand developed by Dave Dahl and his brother Glenn following Dave’s rehabilitation from Snake River Correctional Institute.
