These are the issues I focus on in Congress:

Agriculture - Regardless of your job or where you live, agriculture matters to you. Agriculture puts food on our tables, clothes on our back, and the roof above our heads.

Economy - The American economy is facing very difficult times and we need to get the country moving.

Education - I am committed to making sure that every Kansas student has an opportunity to a quality education.

Energy - The recent flux in energy prices posed significant challenges for Kansas. .

Family Values - I have worked to support Kansas communities and families, as well as protect the values and traditions that we hold dear.

Health Care - Health care has long been one of my top priorities in Congress.

Immigration - The federal government has failed when it comes to immigration. Our immigration system is broken and in desperate need of being fixed.

Life - I am, and always have been, pro-life. Life is precious and deserves our respect and protection. Read More >

Military Support - A strong national defense is critical to the security of America's citizens. I strongly support our military personnel serving at home and abroad.

National Security - Protecting America's citizens and industries at home against a bioterror attack is also a priority.

Transportation - Building and maintaining a strong transportation infrastructure is vital to the economic development of Kansas.

Veterans - As a senior member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, improving the quality of life for our nation's veterans has been one of my top priorities.
