Learn about Parliamentary Procedure in the U.S. Congress
I have served as the Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee on Technology and the House, the Subcommittee that has the responsibility for processes and procedures of the House, relations between the House and Senate, the internal operations of the House, and the committee structure and jurisdictional issues of all the House Committees.  This section includes some very helpful reports from the Congressional Research Service detailing the legislative process, parliamentary procedure, and how the Congress works.

Learn about the United States Congress
The United States Constitution states that “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”  Much history has occurred, and thousands of members of Congress have served in the legislative branch in the years since the Constitution was written in 1787.  I have provided a number of links that are helpful to understanding the United States Congress.

Are you interested in working on Capitol Hill or serving in the Federal Government?
Both the House of Representatives and the Senate accept resumes from potential employees and hold them for review by Members of Congress, committees and others hiring on Capitol Hill.  Contact these addresses if you are interested in working for Congress in the future.
