Congressional Page Program
The U.S. House of Representatives offers an exciting opportunity for students to participate as Congressional Pages during their junior year of high school. This section of my site provides details about this tremendous opportunity to apply to work in the House of Representatives as a Congressional Page.

How Are Laws Made in the U.S. Congress?
The Office of the Parliamentarian in the House has written a comprehensive brochure on "How Our Laws Are Made" that details the complex and evolving legislative process.  If you want to gain a greater understanding of the legislative process of the United States, this is the place to start.

Participate in the Congressional Art Competition

Each year, I host a Congressional “Artistic Discovery” high school art competition in my district which lets us showcase the talents of young artists.  Check out this section if you are interested in winning a trip to Washington, D.C., and having your artwork displayed at the U.S. Capitol.

The decisions of government touch our lives every day and the people we elect to public office make these decisions.  Learn more here about why it is important to register to vote so that you can express your voice in the governance of your city, county, state and country.
