For the past two years, the main concern for North Texans and all Americans has been jobs and the economy. But the leadership in Washington hasn’t been focused on this – after passing their failed stimulus, they started work on the rest of their big-government agenda: cap and trade, a health care overhaul, bailouts, and banking reform. The federal spending spree of late has added more than $3 trillion to the national debt since January 2009. If government spending were the answer, our economy would be fixed – but it is not. Government spending is simply not the answer.
