The funding will be used by the Town of Schererville to upgrade and to perform the renovation of aeration tanks. The funding also will include the installation of improved return sludge flow controls and replacement of diffuser membranes at the wastewater treatment plant. Investment in wastewater infrastructure provides significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to the local communities and the nation.
