Amount requested: $2,400,000
This funding will upgrade the current capabilities at the High Pressure Laboratory at the National Test Facility complex. This facility conducts research on the next generation of aero propulsion engines, and the funding for this project will upgrade its laser instrumentation and air flow capabilities. The enhanced research will support the local economy, create new markets, and assist in the development of the next generation of aircraft engines and fuels.
