The funding will be used by the Town of Chesterton to conduct a Preliminary Corridor Study for a multipurpose trail along State Road 49. This project will serve as a step in constructing a valuable north-south link in the existing regional trail system, expanding the recreational opportunities for those residing on or visiting the southern shore of Lake Michigan.
