Treasury Department

The Treasury Department's main building is located on the corner of Fifteenth Street and Pennsylvania Ave NW, adjacent to the White House. Guided tours of the Treasury Department, lasting 60 minutes, are offered Saturday mornings at 9:00, 9:45, 10:30, and 11:15. All tours require advance reservations made through a Congressional office.

Among the highlights of the Treasury Building tour are the Salmon Chase and Andrew Johnson Suites and the recently restored West Dome and lobby. Please be aware that the Treasury Department tour does NOT include the production of currency. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing tour, which may also be requested through my office, allows visitors to view the production of money.

The Treasury Department is metro accessible on the Blue, Orange, and Red lines. The nearest stops are Metro Center and McPherson Square.
