The Committee on the Judiciary’s internship program offers both undergraduate and law students an opportunity to experience the operation of a congressional committee first hand and learn about the important role that House committees play in the legislative process. The Committee on the Judiciary has jurisdiction over a wide range of legislative and oversight issues which include constitutional amendments, litigation reform, patent and trademark law, federal criminal law, federal civil rights law, antiterrorism, immigration and naturalization, and antitrust. Interns are generally placed - based on their areas of interest - with the full committee or one of the five subcommittees.
