Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) will soon introduce the State and Local Sales Tax Deduction Expansion Act, which would permanently allow all taxpayers to deduct state and local sales tax payments from their federal income taxes, even if they also deduct state income taxes.  Click here for more information.

(12/8/08)  Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) this week will introduce legislation that would give taxpayers a two-month tax holiday in 2009 and eliminate Treasury Secretary Paulson’s remaining $350 billion “bailout” authority.  For more details, click here.
