High Priority Transportation Projects requested by Rep. Betsy Markey:


-    SH 392 and I-25 Interchange
Amount: $20,000,000
Description:    This funding will accommodate the much needed improvements at the interchange at SH 392 and I-25 where there is very heavy traffic and growing commercial development.

-    Improvements Along US-85 Corridor
    Amount:    $45,960,000
    Description:    These improvements are divided into 6 separate projects:
•    Frontage road improvements in Platteville, Gilchrest, Evans, Greeley, Eaton and Ault
•    Completion of an East-West arterial roadway on O St. (phase 1)
•    Construction of a new overpass at 85 and O St. (phase 2)
•    5 intersection improvements at US-85 and WCR 16, WCR 36, WCR, 38, WCR 42, and WCR 80
•    Improve intersection at SH 60 and US-85 with a flyover ramp
•    New diamond configured interchange at US-85 and WCR 6

-    Safety Improvements along US-385 in Yuma County
    Amount:    $4,000,000
Description:    Address the absence of usable shoulders, the steep roadside slopes, and the limited visibility of approaching vehicles through curves, over crests and at intersections on a corridor that has seen increased commercial vehicle loads

-    Kiowa County Bridge Repair
    Amount:    $195,675
Description:    The funding would be used make necessary recommended county bridge repairs.

-    Crowley County Bridge Repair
    Amount:    $87,560
Description:    At SH-71 and County Road G, expand the bridge culvert 40 feet to the north and 50 feet to the south, and widen the intersection to accommodate the large variety of vehicles that use the roadway.

-    Road widening on SH-66 in Longmont
    Amount:    $3,000,000
Description:    Replaces a roadway that operates at or above the designed capacity and would provide additional space for bicycle lanes, sidewalks and other safety improvements.

-    Transit Funding for Northeastern Colorado Association of Local Governments
    Amount:    $360,000
Description:    Funding to replace old vehicles, purchase mobile radios and obtain accessible mini-vans

-    Transit Funding for Loveland
    Amount:    $5,672,000
Description:    Funding to replace vehicles, upgrade software, and cover design and building costs of a new maintenance facility

-    Transit Funding for Greeley
    Amount:    $14,005,312
Description:    Funding for bus wash system replacement, fuel bay relocation, bus and van replacement, bus stop improvements, vehicle location system, mobile data terminals, and security monitoring system
-    Transit Funding for Fort Collins
    Amount:    $18,760,000
Description:    Funding for replacement buses and equipment as well as small facilities

-    Improvements on I-25 Corridor
    Amount:    $20,000,000
Description:    The funding would be used on the I-25 corridor from 120th in Denver to Fort Collins and Wellington in the north.  The project would implement improvements such as Corridor EIS multi-modal recommendations, construct safety improvements or ITS deployment

-    RTD Northwest Rail Corridor
    Amount:    $0, Reauthorization
Description:    Project is to design, engineer, and construct the Northwest Rail Corridor, a 41-mile commuter rail corridor running from Denver Union Station (DUS) through Northwest Denver, Westminster, Broomfield, Louisville, Boulder and terminating in Longmont.
