Washington Internships

My office is always accepting resumes from college students interested in interning for academic credit. By assisting the Congressman’s staff, interns in the Washington, D.C. office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications and constituent services staff members. Interns help answer phone calls, respond to constituent correspondence, give Capitol tours, and do research.  All interns receive can receive college credit and a monthly stipend.  Candidates who are chosen for the Washington, D.C. office are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. Our internship program is open to all area college students, regardless of major, though preference is given to residents of the First District and those from universities in the district. Interested candidates should first contact the intern coordinators in their respective higher education institutions, who collect and process applications for us.  If you have any questions, you may also call our district office at 801-625-0107 and ask to speak to the District Director.
