Capito Participates in NBC's Education Nation

Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, R.W.Va., participated in the closing panel of NBC’s Education Nation, a program designed to shed light on one of the most pressing issues in our country: education in America.  Capito joined panel of policy makers including Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, Washington D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and many others in panel discussion set up like a Congressional Hearing.  “Expert witnesses” included a teacher, a student, a parent, a principal and music artist and education advocate John Legend.  The discussion was moderated by NBC’s Brian Williams and covered all spectrums of education policy, from rural education to restoring local control to keeping our parents and teachers accountable.
