Is No Child Left Behind enough?
Today, nearly 70 percent of inner city fourth graders are unable to read at a basic level on national reading tests. Our high school seniors trail students in Cyprus and South Africa on international math tests. And nearly a third of our college freshmen find they must take a remedial course before they are able to even begin regular college level courses.
Should Congress do more for Immigration Reform?
America's *broken* immigration system is a major problem that the American people expect their elected leaders to solve. Although *Congress has not passed legislation* to address the immigration challenges our Nation faces, the Administration continues to take some steps to strengthen border security, enforce our worksite laws, and keep the economy well-supplied with vital workers.
