The United States House of Representatives – Visit the official website of the US House of Representatives, where I proudly represent the citizens of the 13th Congressional District of New York. You can learn about some of the features of Capitol Hill and the legislative process, see upcoming committee hearings, and access each of the committee websites.

The United States Senate – You can also visit the website of the United States Senate, which features a virtual help desk. You can also learn about the Senate’s history, and read about the myths and legends surrounding the Senate. I also encourage you to visit the website of New York’s two U.S. Senators, Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

The White House – The official website of the White House, the head of the executive branch of government, has a wealth of information on our current President, Barack Obama, and previous U.S. Presidents. You can also read about the issues that the President is working on, and even contact the White House by e-mail.

The Library of Congress – Established by the United States Congress in 1800, the Library of Congress has one of the most extensive collections of literature from around the world. You can learn more about what the LOC does, read about interesting facts on the Library, and even ask a Librarian of Congress a question of your choice!

The National Park Service – The official website of the National Park Service can be a tremendous tool to learn more about our country’s precious national park areas. You can Find a Park to visit, find interesting facts about what NPS does (for instance, NPS manages over 84.6 million acres of land!), and learn how to get involved in the preservation of our nation’s parks.

Smithsonian Institution – The Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum complex with over 19 museums across America, has information on each of its museums (American History, Natural History, Air and Space, to name a few). In addition, you can learn about upcoming exhibitions and plan your visit to the Smithsonian.
