Congressman George Radanovich (R-Mariposa) will be the featured speaker at the Madera County Farm Bureau’s 5th Annual Water Conference.

Radanovich will address California’s current drought and man made water shortage due to the inappropriate use of environmental laws such as the Endangered Species Act (ESA).  He will discuss his legislation H.R. 856, the California Drought Alleviation Act, a bill to temporarily suspend the ESA on the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta to allow the Delta Pumps to operate at unhindered capacity and the legislation’s ability to provide a no-cost economic stimulus to the Valley.  Radanovich will also address another bill he has introduced, H.R. 437 the Madera Water Supply Enhancement Act, which will establish an underground water bank in Madera, CA.  Finally, the Congressman will make himself available for a brief period of Q&A.
