A: I have caseworkers on staff to assist constituents with a federal issue, such as a missing Social Security check, IRS issues, an immigration question, or a veteran’s affairs issue.

Q: What the can Congressman not do for me?
A: I cannot intercede in any state, city, county, or municipal government issue, or in any matter before the courts.

Q: Can the Congressman help me with a problem I am having with a federal agency?

Q: I have sent Congressman Fortenberry a letter with my thoughts on an issue. How long will it be until I can expect a response?
A: As you might imagine, my offices receive large volumes of mail and email. I do my very best to personally respond to each email and letter as quickly as possible, but response times can vary. Please allow up to four to six weeks for a response.

Q: I would like to send Congressman Fortenberry an email. Does he have an email address?
A: Due to the high volume of email I receive on a daily basis I do not have a personal email address due to all of the spam. The spam filters were preventing me from receiving and responding to legitimate constituent emails. In order to ensure that all constituent email is received in my office I have set up a feature on my website which allows constituents to send an email directly to me via the website.
