TIBERI ASKS DEFENSE SECRETARY TO REVIEW COURT MARTIAL PROCEEDING INVOLVING THREE NAVY SEALS
Washington,
Dec 4, 2009 -
U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) joined 32 of his colleagues in asking Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to review the court martial proceedings involving three U.S. Navy SEALs and the capture of alleged terrorist Ahmed Hashim Abed. Abed is accused of planning the March 2004 ambush in Fallujah that resulted in the killing of four Blackwater contractors. Abed was captured in September 2009 by these three Navy SEALs. Congressman Tiberi and his colleagues believe the prosecution of these three men is not warranted. Learn more by reading the letter here.
