Washington, Jun 2 - The University of Texas at El Paso will receive a $44,632 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services.  The grant provides funds for the Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship (AENT).

The Department of Health and Human Services is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves.  The department includes more than 300 programs, covering a wide spectrum of activities.

"I congratulate UTEP on receiving this grant, which will encourage nursing students to pursue advanced education,” Congressman Reyes said.  “This grant money will help qualifying UTEP students to offset the cost of tuition, fees, books and living expenses.
