Brown Reflects on September 11, 2001

WASHINGTON, DC- This week, Congressman Henry E. Brown, Jr. (R-SC), joined many of his colleagues in honoring the memory of those who perished in the September 11th attacks at a remembrance ceremony at the Capitol on Wednesday afternoon.  After the ceremony, Congressman Brown made the following statement:

“Friday marks the Eighth anniversary of the tragic events that changed our nation forever.  Though we will never forget the terrible images of September 11, 2001, we will also recall the heroism and strength of spirit exhibited across the country that morning and in the days that followed. As we remember those who lost their lives that day in Washington, DC, New York and Pennsylvania, I encourage all Americans to never let fear govern your actions and to always remember the character and freedoms that binds us all as Americans.”

In addition to attending the remembrance ceremony at the Capitol, Congressman Brown and his colleagues in the House unanimously passed a resolution in commemoration of the terrorist attacks launched against the United States on September 11, 2001.
