Brown Statement on Boeing Announcement

CHARLESTON, SC - Today, Congressman Henry E. Brown Jr. (R-SC) made the following remarks concerning Boeing's acquisition of Vought's facilities in South Carolina:

“Today’s announcement of the Boeing Company’s decision to acquire the Charleston operations of Vought Aircraft Industries is great news for the Lowcountry and our state.  

I welcome Boeing’s expanded presence in our community and the prospect of continued employment for our workforce.  The 787 represents an important step forward for commercial aviation, and I am proud that the First District can be an even more important part of its production.”
