Today, Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity, delivered opening remarks at a full-committee hearing concerning the future of housing finance. The Financial Services committee heard from a panel of experts on proposals to address the reform of Government Sponsored Enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which have cost the taxpayers over $150billion since being bailed out in 2008.
