Broadband Access

The Internet has become an indispensable source of information and exchange of ideas.  In a world of constant innovation, people must have access to its resources.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, passed in early 2009, provided more than $7 billion for broadband services, including $2.5 for broadband operation for rural areas.  Senator Franken strongly supports these provisions and believes that we must continue to bring Internet services to rural areas.  He will continue to look for opportunities to expand high-speed internet access throughout Minnesota and the nation.
