Atlanta Business Chronicle Names Linder One of "The Most Influential Atlantans"
(1/1/2003)The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named John one of “The Most Influential Atlantans.” The Atlanta Business Chronicle highlighted John’s successful effort following the September 11 tragedy to authorize $600 million in fiscal years 2002 and 2003 for facilities construction and renovation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. The House of Representatives approved the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Response Act of 2001, authorizing $2.9 billion to respond to bioterrorism attacks and public health emergencies, including Linder's requested funding.
