Following my first year representing the 15th Congressional District of Ohio I wanted to tell you about some of the work I’m doing to bring change to Washington for central Ohio.
I worked across the aisle with my colleagues on issues that include veterans, jobs, credit ratings, Iran, small business, health care, prescription drugs and children’s health care. I voted to pass bills that would strengthen our economy with tax breaks to small businesses and individuals, grow new industry here in central Ohio and create the new, clean energy jobs that will make our region strong.
My work requires staying in close touch with my constituents and so I make it a priority to come home from Washington nearly every weekend to attend events and listen to what the people who live in our community have to say. I also put an emphasis on helping constituents with problems they have with federal issues. As detailed in the report, in 2009 my office assisted with 1,093 constituent services cases including issues with Social Security, student loans, veterans benefits, Medicare and many more.
I am providing you with my complete Annual Report highlighting my 2009 accomplishments to fulfill a pledge to be responsive to your needs. I hope this update is useful for you. I enjoy serving the 15th Congressional District and plan to stay in touch with you about my work on your behalf. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I can ever be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Kilroy
Member Of Congress
