BOLAND, Veronica Grace, (wife of Patrick J. Boland),
a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Scranton, Lackawanna
County, Pa., March 18, 1899; attended the public schools and Scranton Technical
High School; elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-seventh Congress, by special
election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of her husband, United States
Representative Patrick J. Boland (November 3, 1942-January 3, 1943); was not a
candidate for reelection to the Seventy-eighth Congress; died on June 19, 1982,
in Scranton, Pa.; interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
