The Congressional Award Program

The Congressional Award Program seeks to build character and foster community service, personal development, and citizenship for our nation’s youth.
 
The program, chartered by Congress in 1979, focuses on volunteer public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition/exploration. The program is open to all young people ages 13-23. Working at their own pace with advisors, participants set goals, emphasizing their strengths.
