H.R. 1722                   Oversight and Government Reform 

Telework Improvements Act of 2009

The Committee granted, by a record vote of 6-2, a closed rule providing for consideration of H.R. 1722, the “Telework Improvements Act of 2009.” The rule provides one hour of general debate equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.  The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the bill except those arising under clause 9 or 10 of rule XXI.  The rule provides that the amendment in the nature of a substitute recommended by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, now printed in the bill, modified by the amendment printed in the Rules Committee report shall be considered as adopted and the bill, as amended, shall be considered as read.    The rule waives all points of order against provisions in the bill, as amended.  The rule provides one motion to recommit with or without instructions.  The rule tables House Resolution 1496.
