            The Committee on Rules is expected to meet the week of February 22, 2010, to report a rule governing floor consideration of H.R. 2701, the “Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010.”  The following revised deadline has been set for the submission of amendments.  Amendments submitted to this bill on or after February 4, 2010 (the date of the first deadline) are considered submitted and should not be resubmitted:

1. Bring to the Rules Committee in H-312, The Capitol (a) 30 hard copies of the amendment, (b) a brief summary of the amendment, and (c) a completed log-in form (http://www.rules.house.gov/amend_login.pdf); AND 
2. Submit an electronic copy of the amendment and summary via the Rules Committee web page (http://www.rules.house.gov/amendment_form.asp).

Additional Information: Members are encouraged to have their amendments (1) reviewed by the Office of the Parliamentarian to be sure they comply with the rules of the House; and (2) reviewed by the Congressional Budget Office for compliance with the House paygo rule.  Amendments can be submitted to CBO by fax (6-1366) or by e-mail to Pete Fontaine (petef@cbo.gov, Cc: to terig@cbo.gov and darreny@cbo.gov).
