Veterans and Military

As an elected member of Congress, I am proud to serve our military men and women and their families from the installations here in NY along with our VA institutions, and numerous government contractors.

I take deep pride in addressing issues like implementing reasonable time at home with families in between deployments (S Amdt 2909), rewarding our GWOT veterans with the post 9-11 GI Bill (HR 2642), providing voter registration materials and assistance to each and every member of the U.S. armed services, as well as their family members, and spearheading initiatives for a Military Families Affordable Homes Act.

I have the honor of representing 988,217 veterans in New York and issues affecting our veterans are very important to me. As your representative, I will continue to look for ways to ensure that those who have served our country are treated with the respect and gratitude that they have earned and rightfully deserve.

The 111th Congress is working hard keep our military strong, to strengthen our national security, and to secure American troops serving around the world and here on US soil.
