Chairman Price Biography
Chairman Tom Price is recognized as a vibrant leader and a tireless conservative in Congress. First elected in November 2004, Price represents the Sixth District of Georgia. Prior to going to Washington, Price served four terms in the Georgia State Senate – two as Minority Whip. In 2002, he was a leader in the Republican renaissance in Georgia as the party took control of the State House, with Price rising to become the first Republican Majority Leader in the history of Georgia.

In Washington, Price has been a leader in the conservative fight since day one. A fierce opponent of government waste and bureaucracy, he has been at the forefront of the movement to return to positive conservative principles. Inspired by freedom and liberty, Price is devoted to limited government and lower spending. As a medical doctor, Chairman Price is passionate about ensuring all Americans have access to quality health care, free from governmental interference. His other priorities include fundamental reform of the tax code, keeping American families safe, enforcement of our immigration laws, preserving traditional values, and finding a 21st century energy solution.

Congressman Price received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Emory University. Congressman Price with his wife, Elizabeth, and son reside in Roswell, GA.
