Bogota has a population of 8,208 and is located in
the southern portion of Bergen County,
New Jersey. The Borough borders
the towns of Teaneck, Hackensack,
and Ridgefield Park, all of which are represented in
the U.S. House of Representatives by Congressman Rothman.
On Bogota's 100th Anniversary in
1994, Bogota Historian Henry Komorowski wrote a history of the Borough as part
of the celebration. Komorowski later used that research to put together "The Bogota Story," a
history of Bogota
and its people published on the Internet.
