LEWISTON, ME – Today, Congressman Mike Michaud issued the
following statement after learning of the death of Specialist Andrew L.
Hutchins of New Portland, who died on November 8 while serving in
Afghanistan with the U.S. Army’s 3/101st Infantry, 101st Airborne
Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Hutchins of New Portland, who died on November 8 while serving in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army’s 3/101st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Specialist Andrew L. Hutchins. Words cannot do justice to the honor with which Andrew served his country and the sadness and loss his family now feels. I wish to express my deepest sympathies to his family and friends; my thoughts and prayers are with them.”
